La Métropole Nice Côte d’Azur remporte le projet ReUseHeat et s’affirme comme leader européen dans le domaine de la performance énergétique

La Métropole Nice Côte d’Azur vient de remporter un nouvel appel à projets du programme européen de recherche et d’innovation Horizon 2020 avec le projet ReUseHeat. Ce projet d’un montant global de 4 millions d’euros va permettre d’engager le développement expérimental dès le mois d’octobre d’un réseau urbain de chaleur et de froid innovant dans le nouveau quartier du Grand Arénas.

Christian Estrosi, Maire de Nice, Président de la Métropole Nice Côte d’Azur, se réjouit de ce succès européen :

« Nice Côte d’Azur, smart city mondiale, sélectionnée parmi les dix finalistes pour le prix Capitale Européenne de l’Innovation 2017, vient de remporter le projet européen ReUseHeat axé sur la performance énergétique.

Je me félicite que la Commission Européenne ait, une nouvelle fois, choisi de faire confiance à la Métropole Nice Côte d’Azur, à son esprit d’initiative et d’innovation, et de nous soutenir dans nos expérimentations.

Nice Côte d’Azur partage ce nouveau succès avec des partenaires de renom au niveau européen :  l’Institut suédois de recherche sur l’environnement, la London School of Economics, l’Université d’Aalborg au Danemark, le réseau européen Euroheat and Power…

Grâce à ReUseHeat, nous allons aller plus loin sur le terrain de l’innovation et de la performance énergétique. Avec notre partenaire industriel EDF-DALKIA et le Centre Scientifique et Technique du Bâtiment, nous allons dès ce mois d’octobre développer un réseau de chaleur exploitant le réseau public des eaux usées de la Métropole. En parallèle il s’agit de créer localement un puissant outil informatique de pilotage énergétique, en vue d’améliorer les performances des réseaux thermiques et électriques du nouveau quartier du Grand Arénas. 

Ces expérimentations smartgrids nous permettront, en nous appuyant sur notre Agence de la Performance Energétique,  d’optimiser nos ressources locales en énergie renouvelable et permettront aux habitants et usagers du Grand Arenas de faire des économies. »

The Metropole Nice Côte d’Azur wins the ReUseHeat project and is emerging as European leader in the field of energy performance

The Metropole Nice Côte d'Azur has won a new call for projects from the European program of Research and Innovation Horizon 2020 with the ReUseHeat project. This project, worth a total of € 4 million, will enable as of October the experimental development of an innovative urban heat and cooling network in the new district of Grand Arénas .

Thanks to ReUseHeat, we will go further in the field of innovation and energy performance. With our industrial partner EDF-DALKIA and the “Centre Scientifique et Technique du Bâtiment” (the French scientific and technical center for building) we will from October onwards develop a heat network operating the public wastewater network of the Metropole Nice Côte d’Azur. At the same time, it is about creating locally a powerful computing energy management tool, with a view to improve the performance of the thermal and electrical networks of the new district of Grand Arénas.

These smartgrid experiments will enable us, using our Energy Performance Agency, to optimize our local resources in renewable energy and allow the inhabitants and users of the Grand Arénas to save money. "
